Xposer provides a lightweight solution for website technology detection and security monitoring, including:

  • Instant Technology Detection: Identifying exact versions of CMS (e.g., WordPress, Drupal, Joomla) and frameworks (e.g., Laravel, TYPO3) by analyzing website headers, files, and patterns.

  • Smart Continuous Monitoring: Tracking your websites 24/7 for version changes, security updates, and technology stack modifications, with email notifications for detected changes.

  • Vulnerability Alerts: Cross-referencing detected software versions against CVE (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures) databases to provide immediate alerts with severity ratings and remediation guidance.

  • Powerful API & Automation: Offering a RESTful API for programmatic scanning, bulk operations, webhook notifications, and integration into your workflows.

  • Help Clean Up the Internet: Enabling users to generate outreach emails with vulnerability reports and upgrade recommendations for website owners.

  • Custom Host Reports: Providing downloadable reports on over three million hosts, filtered by product, keyword, top-level domain, language, and version.

We strive to deliver accurate and timely Services but cannot guarantee the completeness, accuracy, or timeliness of results due to the dynamic nature of web technologies and third-party data.

3. Your Obligations

You agree to:

  • Use the Services only for lawful purposes and in compliance with these Terms and all applicable laws, including data protection and cybersecurity regulations (e.g., GDPR in the Netherlands and EU).

  • Ensure you have all necessary rights, consents, or legal authority to submit any website, host, or data for scanning, monitoring, or analysis by Xposer.

  • Provide accurate and complete information (e.g., URLs, host details) when using the Services.

  • Not use the Services to scan, monitor, or target websites or hosts without authorization, or to engage in hacking, phishing, or other illegal activities.

  • Be solely responsible for the content, delivery, and consequences of any outreach emails or communications generated through the Services.

4. Account and Access

  • To use certain features, you may need to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.

  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Services if you breach these Terms or engage in conduct we deem harmful to Xposer, other users, or third parties.

5. Cookies

We use cookies to enhance functionality and retrieve user details for each visit, as outlined in our Privacy Policy. By using the Services, you consent to our use of cookies in accordance with the Privacy Policy. Some affiliate or advertising partners may also use cookies.

  • The Services may allow you to generate outreach emails to notify website owners of security concerns or upgrade recommendations.

  • You are solely responsible for the content, tone, delivery, and any consequences of such communications.

  • Xposer is not liable for any disputes, claims, or damages arising from your outreach efforts.

9. Data and Privacy

  • You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights, consents, or legal authority to submit websites, hosts, or data for scanning or monitoring.

  • We process data from scanned sites and user inputs solely to provide the Services, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

  • Please review our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, use, store, and protect your data and data from scanned websites.

10. Limitation of Liability

  • To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Xposer excludes all representations, warranties, and conditions relating to the Services.

  • We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of technology detection, vulnerability alerts, or reports, as these rely on patterns, headers, and third-party data (e.g., CVE databases).

  • You are responsible for verifying findings and taking appropriate action based on our Services.

  • Xposer shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from or related to your use of the Services, including but not limited to errors in detection, missed vulnerabilities, or actions taken based on reports or alerts.

  • Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

11. Hyperlinking to Our Content

  • The following may link to our website without prior approval: government agencies, search engines, news organizations, and online directory distributors.

  • Other organizations (e.g., consumer/business information sources, dot.com community sites, charities, internet portals, accounting/law/consulting firms, educational institutions, trade associations) may link to our home page if the link: (a) is not deceptive; (b) does not falsely imply sponsorship, endorsement, or approval; and (c) fits the linking party’s site context.

  • To request approval, email us with your name, organization, contact info, and linking details. Allow 2-3 weeks for a response.

  • Approved links may use our corporate name, URL, or a fitting description. No use of Xposer’s logo or artwork is allowed without a trademark license agreement.

13. Termination

  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Services, including API and monitoring features, at our sole discretion, without notice, if you breach these Terms or engage in conduct we deem harmful to Xposer, other users, or third parties.

  • Upon termination, your right to use the Services ceases immediately.

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

  • These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands.

  • Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms or the Services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Netherlands.

  • Before pursuing legal action, the parties agree to attempt to resolve disputes through good-faith negotiation or mediation.

15. Changes to These Terms

  • We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on https://xposer.io with the effective date.

  • Your continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
